Founders Festival 2017 In Downtown Farmington July 20-23

The Greater Farmington Area Founders Festival has been a summer tradition with over a quarter of a million-people attending each year.  Guests enjoy a long weekend of music, food and fun activities geared for all ages.  The festival will take place in the heart of downtown Farmington and at Shiawassee Park July 20-23, 2017.

This year our programming will include elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math – STEAM!  The STEAM will start rising from Shiawassee Park on Thursday and extend through to Friday and continue to rise in downtown Farmington on Saturday in the Kids Zone.  The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and Mad Science Detroit will host some cool experiments for all to enjoy.

 

Thursday

The festival will take place in the heart of downtown Farmington and at Shiawassee Park July 20-23, 2017. This year our programming will include elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math – STEAM!  Detroit Style Reggae Kicks Off the Festivities at the Beer Tent!

Friday

On Friday we’ll have Hot Air Balloons, a pie eating contest, an old fashioned ice cream social, inflatables, carnival games, face painting, monster truck rides and much more. The Killer Flamingos will be performing at the Red, White & Brew Stage.

Saturday

On Saturday we’ll have the L.O.C. 5k Color Run, The Founders Festival Parade on Grand River Ave, Mad Science in Riley Park, the Farmers Market, ice cream social, inflatables, carnival games, face painting, Monster Truck rides and much more. FIREWORKS at Dusk and FiftyAmpFuse will be playing at the Red, White & Brew Stage.

Sunday

On Sunday, enjoy the Kids Stage with Karen Czarnik,Story Rhythms, Dynamike Magician, Crafters Marketplace on in Riley Park, 50/50 Raffle Drawing (Winner need not be present to win) and much more. Audrey Ray and Austin Scott at the Red, White and Brews stage.
